The Bargello museum has a rich history to tell, it was once a palace for the Florentine magistrate, a former barracks and a prison where executions would take place in the courtyard, today it is a museum that contains an important collection of Renaissance works by Michelangelo, Donatello, Brunelleschi, Ghiberti, Benvenuto Cellini, Giambologna and other such important artists, plus it has a collection of precious gold, ivory and bronze objects.
An unknown museum to many, don’t let that be you too, there is much of worth within its walls!
